Keep The Music Clean 2009

Zouk KL is very proud to announce that on Saturday 13th June will see the return of the much praised Keep The Music Clean night. Launched to great acclaim in 2005 and at that point under the banner of Unesco, several thousand clubbers enjoyed a night of great music, quality entertainment and a clear message of clean living.
Keep The Music Clean (KTMC) will this time feature another superb line-up of exhilarating live music, hot-like-fire DJ sets and spectacular dance performances to celebrate the joys of clean and drug free clubbing.
Keep the Music Clean is a campaign that is supported by Agensi Dadah Kebangsaan (ADK) or the National Anti-Drugs Agency which is part of the Home Affairs Ministry. To have such a notable government agency to support such a campaign has given it a real boost and added gravity to the message given out.
The KTMC campaign aims to show clubbers at Zouk KL, which is regarded as the number one night time entertainment outlet in Malaysia that the the only way to have a great night out with friends and loved ones is all that much better without the use of illicit drugs.
The KTMC campaign also aims to educate not only about the dangers of drug usage but also the responsibility of everyone and in this case the clubbers and also Zouk staff fight against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking. Another key point of the KTMC campaign is to help keep the music scene clean in support of the many people who have devoted their lives to the music industry and keeping it free of drugs. We will support these people in their fight to show that it is not just possible but actually to dance, interact and have fun without needing any drugs.
The KTMC event is fully supported by the National Drugs Agency (ADK) which is part of the Ministry of Interior Affairs and will be attended by dignitaries from the ministry as well as the agencies.
To treat the clubbers to an extra special night Zouk KL, has booked some very exciting acts. Here’s a small taster of the amazing night we have ahead for you:
Melissa Indot:
Melissa Indot is an award winning singer, producer and all round entertainer. Her album Eclecticism won major awards including the Anugerah Industri Music for Best English Language album. Since then she has become a household name regularly performing to packed audiences across the region. Furthermore she has started to make her mark as producer and DJ of electro dance music. Her track, Starlight from the award winning album has also recently been remixed by the world famous, 2 time Grammy Award winning producer Eric Kupper.
Melissa will be performing two very special songs from her wide repertoire in her own inimitable and classy style for Zouk KL’s lucky clubbers!
Invisible Elements:
Invisible Elements are one of KL’s top breakdancing and street dancing crews. They regularly perform in huge corporate shows and also in various competitions. The crew is headed by renowned dancer Fellest Yen.
Leonard T:
Leonard T is the chief resident DJ at Zouk KL. He has more than 20 years experience DJ’ing at the top clubs in this region. He is famous not just for his dance music sets at Zouk KL every weekend but also for his 80’s and retro sets every Wednesday at Mambo Jambo
Terrence C:
Terrence is currently one of Malaysia’s top dance music DJs. He is a crowd favourite and has played alongside the very biggest DJs in the world.
